Hello dear readers,
I am Denis Müller, 27 years old, and I have been working as the new Sustainability Manager at SPIES since June 1, 2024. I am delighted to introduce myself here in the “Mission: Sustainability” blog and give you an insight into my tasks and goals.
I originally come from the tranquil town of Bünde in Westphalia, but now live in lively Osnabrück. After my A-levels and a voluntary social year, I trained as an industrial clerk and successfully completed my training. I then worked in internal sales before deciding to study business administration and management full-time at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in 2020. During my studies, I was able to complete my compulsory student internship at SPIES and write my bachelor's thesis. I have been with the company since November 2023.
Why sustainability? For me, sustainability is not only a social responsibility, but also a real competitive advantage. The opportunity to work with different people and drive projects forward excites me. I am looking forward to taking on the following tasks and projects in my new role:
In my spare time, I was active in competitive soccer for a long time and was able to celebrate several successes, including winning the Lower Saxony Cup and participating in the DFB Cup. I now play for my home club again and try out new sports such as bouldering and tennis. I like to spend the rest of my time with friends and family.
I'm really looking forward to the exciting projects ahead and to working with you to advance SPIES' sustainability goals. Stay tuned to find out more about our mission: sustainability!
Best regards
Denis
