Economy
We design processes and products with sustainability in mind to safeguard SPIES’ economic health and the company’s long-term stability. Open dialogue with our stakeholders and alignment with both environmental and economic standards are key. Our product development combines innovation with sustainability, always ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
As a plastics processing company, we bear a particular responsibility for the environment. By optimising our internal processes, we aim to create sustainable value, secure jobs and remain competitive.
Ecology
We use resources responsibly and continuously strive to reduce consumption. Our goal is to operate within the planet’s ecological limits. To achieve this, we are lowering our energy use and emissions through efficient energy management. SPIES promotes the use of environmentally friendly, recyclable materials that can be reused as often and as resource-efficiently as possible. A key focus of these efforts is to support a sustainable circular economy.
Climate change is a global challenge, which we are addressing by reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and using renewable energy. Since 2021, we have been measuring our carbon footprint and implementing various initiatives to reduce our environmental impact.
Social responsibility
SPIES’ success is driven by the dedication and loyalty of our employees. We foster an inclusive and safe working culture and support diversity, continuing education, personal development, health initiatives and family-friendly policies. SPIES promotes equality by actively supporting female trainees and professionals. We also offer flexible working hours and support all genders in taking parental leave and returning to work. These measures not only boost motivation and satisfaction among our workforce, but also strengthen ties with our local community.
